Theological Action Research (TAR) is a qualitative research methodology that involves the research subject(s) in every phase of the project from initial design through to the dissemination of the results. This field guide, How to Do Theological Action Research orients prospective researchers to the methodology and provides an overview of the phases of a TAR project.

I have written an academic review of this volume for the Practical Theology journal so I won’t say much here. Just know that if you’re looking for a practical theological method and value collaboration, TAR might be worth exploring.
