The old structures in all the denominations are crumbling, and we need to be alert to the work of the Holy Spirit in creating new structures that can carry the truth of the gospel. Like Philip Schaff we should strive to be transdenominational, pinning our hopes not on the refurbishing of denominational structures but on the inbreaking kingdom of God that may well leave denominational structures behind.
