“I can see your face. It gives out light.” … The fact was, that the moment he began to love Alice, his eyes began to send forth light. What he thought came from Alice’s face, really came from his eyes.

    Hi Steve!

I read a fascinating blog entry by Zach Dawes last winter that I thought you might enjoy – theological exegesis, just up your alley. It’s called ‘The Blessedness of Being Left Behind’. Zach presents an interesting perspective on some of the parables in Matthew that I find intuitively appealing. I have always struggled with some of Jesus’ parables. For example, why would a Saviour who exemplifies agape love and redemption for the lost teach that it is a good thing for the ‘wise’ virgins to refuse to share their oil, and that the ‘foolish’ gals got what they deserved when they were subsequently locked out of the wedding feast? This and so much more are discussed in this blog…check it out! (Sorry, my Rick Mercer imitation suffers a little in the e-version!)

I would love to hear your thoughts on these teachings if you have time to read them.
