This past Sunday I preached on Jesus’ first infamous miracle: turning water into wine. I should be more precise: John’s gospel called it a “sign”. This event was a sign-post that pointed toward an important truth.
For too long, evangelicals have been distracted with silly arguments about grape juice and alcohol to really look at the significance of this “sign”. I welcome you to look a little deeper with me.
This was a very thought provoking sermon. Everyone I’ve spoken with agrees, that it was delivered perfectly! Your presentation of the miracle of “water to wine”, which normally can be a contentious issue, was well crafted. I like how you pulled in various points like how it relates to our future as the bride of Christ, prophecy fulfilled, and the historical context. Great teaching.
