Saul needs to be replaced as king, so the prophet Samuel sets out, at God’s request, to find a new one. He is told to choose from one of Jesse’s sons, and soon realizes that God sees others in a way we often don’t.
God looks beyond physical appearance and weakness, and sees who we really are. He saw the potential in the youngest of Jesse’s sons, and we can be assured that He sees our potential too. God looks past our inadequacies and into our hearts. Do we see others with the same perspective?
