The Unity of Transcendence and Immanence | Marva J. Dawn

Over the past few weeks I’ve been meditating on Isaiah 40 using Dawn’s classic, To Walk and Not Faint, as a guide. In the chapter on v. 22, Dawn considers the grand image of God dwelling with us. This is a stunning thought:

Someday YHWH will pitch his tent with us forever, and then all his transcendence and immanence will be one.
