While reviewing (for at least the third time) Foster’s Prayer this morning, I was struck by a chapter epigraph by Pascal. If you’ve ever questioned what sort of role a finite human has in the plans of an infinite God, here’s a place to start:
God has instituted prayer so as to confer upon his creatures the dignity of being causes.
