But Ezekiel seems to be giving instead a warning about the Evil One in the Garden, and what he is like, and his *modus operandi*; the havoc spawned there by the serpent that has been plagueing mankind since then; and a few really big hints about what to beware of. Certainly, getting distracted by wealth is not good. But it seems to me, that cannot be what it is about: ---- Ezek. 28:13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you.
